Course objectives
The aim of the course is to outline to the students the particular fields of social policy. At the end of the course students will be able to: identify basic processes at the labour market and their possible impacts in connection with the specific of individuals and social groups; understand relations between social and economical mechanism that participate at formation of the labour market features; explain concrete principals, targets, tools and impacts of the labour market policy; use the acquired knowledge for the creation of labour market policy targets for specific group at the labour market.

Teaching methods
Specific themes are presented in a form of professional lectures, some of them by external professionals in the sectors (examples of good practice). Students discuss individual themes and findings from the literature in the seminars. During the curse students should make project proposal that solve the unemployment problem or difficult position at the labour market for one of the risk groups at the labour market. This project proposal is individually presented and argued at the final meetings. Participation on lectures and seminars likewise the homework are the preconditions for the course graduation.
Assessment methods
Students are preparing continuously according to the theme and literature in the syllabus. The presentation of the employment project proposal is the precondition for participation at the examination. The aim of the project is practical exercise of the knowledge about differential risks of unemployment, labour market policy tools and practical exercise of knowledge about possible forms of work with unemployed. The individual presentation should take approximately 15 minutes, with a standard time to discussion. The submission is project proposal that solve the unemployment problem or difficult position at the labour market for one of the risk groups at the labour market. The evaluation of individual presentation comprises 40% of the final mark. Final examination has written form.
