Course objectives
The programme contains detailed information on legal, economic and personal framework of negotiation and bargaining and relevant communication techniques and tactics, principles of compliance with the principle of equal treatment, employees’ personal rights and principles of good administrative behaviour in the area of public relations when executing the state administration. The acquirement of skills by practicing of obtained knowledge creates the important part of the programme. By passing the course the profile of a graduate from university studies will be completed for his/her success in practice. He/she will acquire selected knowledge from the area of practical personal management, skills from the area of techniques and tactics of communication at general level of interpersonal relations when executing leading functions and, according to the field of study, in particular, when applying of general principles in the area of public relations in the course of executing of functions in the state administration.
Syllabus
  • Notion of fundamental terms, principles and purpose of the course; Legal, economic and personal framework of the communication; Principle of equal treatment and principle of prohibition of discrimination; Principle of good administration, The European Code of Good Administrative Behaviour; Sorts and methods of action, their impact on the results (WIN-WIN); Skills, technique, tactic of communication; Theory of controlled conflict (gradation); Rules of verbal and non-verbal communication; Negotiations with a stressed client, empathy, feedback; Theory of team work, structure of a team and role in a team; Phases of negotiations, tactics and strategies at particular phases; Training of acquired knowledge by presenting of solutions of model situations using the principles of team work and communication techniques.

Interactive teaching methods, Training of acquired knowledge by presenting of solutions of model situations using the principles of team work and communication techniques.
Assessment methods
Solution of model situations, during colloquium presentation of solution provided problem in individual performance by using knowledge and skills acquired.
