Course objectives
The basic aims of education is to understand of conception, structure, forms, functions and basic principles of criminal procedure and criminal process. Student will take forms o procedure, position of subjects of criminal procedure and basic questions of evidence procedure as the ground of criminal process. Presentations will be accompanied by suitable examples from practice, which will be developed during seminars. Student will be able to understand criminal proceedings, and explain and aply fundamental principles of criminal proceedings.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to study of criminal procedure, basics, sources, competence and explanation of criminal procedure, preliminary questions, basic princiles of criminal procedure, subjects, coercive measures, evidence, decision, preliminary procedings, main trial, public and closed procedure, appeal procedure, special ways of proceedings, international cooperation in criminal matters, execution.

Teaching methods
Seminars are interactive. After theoretical analysis of specific provision of Criminal Procedure Act follow always examples of practice with analysis. This is a way how to good reach connection between theoretical fundament and exercise of theoretical information in practice. Students obtain information on practical application of theoretical education.
Assessment methods
Education consists from lectures and seminars and is finished by credit. The premises for credit: - participation in seminars - written essay on c. 10 pages from the subject of lectures and seminars
