Course objectives
The main objective of the course is:
basic practical skills and orientation in operating various sources of legal information;
abilities to search for black-letter law in legal information system ASPI.
Syllabus
  • Basic steps in ASPI, introduction to the system and to its subsystems.
  • Search for black-letter law in ASPI, work with accessory applications of ASPI, solution of model cases.
  • Basic orientation in some other information systems (LexDATA, EPIS, Konzultant, Codexis etc.).
  • Search for legal information on the internet.

Assessment methods
Participation at seminars is compulsory – students are solving here particular practical assignments. The course is concluded by a colloquium that is awarded upon completion of a test of theoretical knowledge and solution and presentation of practical assignment.
