Course objectives
Main objectives of the seminar can be summarized as follows: to give the set of knowledge in the sociological conception of law as a essential methodological approach to law. Students will be able: - to analyze elements of the mechanism of legal regulation, - to record the mechanism of law in action to society, - to criticize functions and purposes of law in society, - to test relation between law – legal consciousness – legal behaviour, - to analyze the level of social deviancy.

  • Definition of sociology of law. Great authors and main lines of sociology of law. Socio-cultural system and law. Law in social reality. Law and social groups. Social deviancy and social control. Methods in the study of law.
