This course does not have any prerequisites. General requirement for enrolment to this course is advanced knowledge of legal English incl. specific terminology of intellectual property law.

Cíle předmětu
The aim of this course is to provide the particular knowledge in law of copyright and related rights. The attention is paid to rights conferred by copyright and related rights, the specific subject matter protected (incl. authorial works and computer programs), sui generis database rights and also the limits of these exclusive rights.
Výstupy z učení
At the end of the course, students should be able to: - understand and explain the various protection regimes for creative outcomes
- independently resolve highly complex legislative and interpretive issues related to the overlaps of the various regimes
- understand, explain and apply the available limits of the conferred rights
