Course objectives
The subject is thematically and with focusing on the subject DO1OBCH1 Business Obligations I. Like it, it focuses on one of the compulsory profile areas of commercial law (business corporations and business obligations) in the concept of this study program. Its aim is to deepen the level of knowledge beyond the Master's degree in both depth and understanding. The aim is a deeper understanding of the nature of the law of obligations and the principles that govern it, as the basis for the ability to solve even complex cases, following the previous subject, especially in the consequences of breach of contractual obligations, torts and unjust enrichment.
Learning outcomes
The student should understand the basic starting points of contract law at a deeper level than in the master's degree program. He should be able to deal with even the most complex cases of understanding the basic principles that govern the law of obligations, in particular in relation to the consequences of breach of contractual obligations, torts and unjust enrichment.
Syllabus
  • The topics discussed will relate in particular to breaches of contractual obligations, torts and unjust enrichment.

Teaching methods
The teaching methods are variable and are determined mainly by the topic. As a standard, theoretical preparation (reading of assigned literature) and subsequent discussion with student presentations are expected. For more narrowly defined topics, there are possible variations that will be announced to students in advance (work on written output, participation in a research group, presentation in a public forum).
Assessment methods
Assessment methods depend on the teaching methods that are variable and depend on the description over a specific time period. It is usually assumed that homework (reading) and participation in a group project with a presentation whose quality is verified by the teachers of the subject. For specific topics, evaluation of the relevant written output (essay, expert analysis) is possible.
