Course objectives
The subject of studies is the notion of the social policy and the social state, legal base, aims and content of the social policy in primary law of the EC. The studies will content also the development, the role and the signification of the social policy i the EU, including the most important documents. There will follow the study of secondary law in the sphere of the social policy, namely directives and court decesions concerning labour law. The students will be abble to explain basic problems of the social policy, obtain knowledge of the most important documents and ability to use them in practice.
Syllabus
  • The interpretation of the notion of the social policy and the social state, the signification, the development and the aims of the social policy in EU, basic documents in the sphere of the social policy, the most important institutions, social policy in the primary law, important regulations and directives in the sphere of labour law and social security, important decesions of the European court, contemporary development in the social policy of the EU.
