Course objectives
At the end of the course students should have basic knowledge of the area of public water law. They should be able to explain the relations among water law, administrative law, construction law and environmental Law. They should be also able to suggest a solution of propounded case studies including the ability to give reason for the solution.
Syllabus
  • The term of water law, its subject, contents and orientation.
  • Historical context of legal regulation of water law.
  • Constructions of waterworks in view of Water Act, Building Act and Administrative Procedure Act.
  • Water management Administration.
  • Water rights proceduring and its specialities and diversities from administrative proceedings.
  • Water treatment.
  • Water protection in environmental point of view.
  • Rights in property related to parcels of land, its leasing, selling.

Assessment methods
The condition for the colloquium is to develop and defend a project seminar. Its range is set at approximately 5 pages. The work will involve the analysis of case law relating to the selected problem. The selected topic will be orally presented in the colloquium. Students must be able to work to defend and respond to questions on the matter.
