Course objectives
After successful completion of the course Administrative Science: student - has a deeper knowledge of the structure and functioning of public administration as a complex management system, is able to orientate in subsatntial aspects and problems of modern public administration, has knowledge of a personal basis of public administration and civil service, of the principles of ethics and ethical codes, the protection of public interest in decision-making of public administration, anti-corruption measures, the priniciples for public property operations, - is able to convey knowledge of the latest developments, trends and reforms in European public administration systems, with respect to the effectiveness of the decisions and procedures, is aware of the evaluative and control principles nad models in public administration.
Syllabus
  • Public administration as a system. Organizational and functional approach to public administration. Personal aspects of public administration, public service, state service, professional ethics in public administration, codes of ethics, the protection of public interest , anti-corruption measures, , trends and reforms in European public administration systems and in the Czech Republic, the priniciples for public property operations, the terms of evaluation, audit and control in public administration, evaluation models.
