Syllabus
  • 1. International environmental law - environmental treaties, their characteristics, subjects 2. International treaties in the field of nature protection, air protection, inland water protection, cultural heritage of mankind etc. 3. Czech environmental law - regulatory structure, sources of law, environmental decision making, agencies 4. Land use planning and environmental protection 5. Air protection 6. Protection of inland waters 7. Agricultural land and forest management and protection 8. Protection of nature 9. Legal regime of waste disposal 10. Legal control of toxic substances and other chemicals 11. Environmental impact assessment 12. The right to information on the environment and the participation of the public in environmental decision making.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Lectures are held for a minimum of 5 students. With smaller number of students attending the course, lectures are replaced with tutorials. Reading list will be given by the course co-ordinator at the fist lecture or tutorial. The examination has a written and an oral part. Examination - credit requirements: 1. Semester paper 2. Written test comprising Yes/No(True/False) or multiple choice questions 3. Discussion on the semester paper
