Cíle předmětu
The aim of the course is to introduce students with the basic aspects of EU Administrative Law. During the course students will see differences between substantive and institutional administrative law and how this division influences implementation of EU law. Second objective is to familiarize students with regulations and functions of so called EU agencies that perform different administrative tasks. The last goal is to get to know the example of measuref of protection of rights in European Administrative Law.
At the end of the course, students should:
- be able to explain how European Union administrative law is being implemented;
- have a better understanding what EU agencies are and which tasks they perform;
- understand the role of Frontex in the context of recent EU problems;
- be able to describe and understand the system and measures of protection of rights in the European Administrative Law.

Mrs. Magdalena Michalak is an adjunct professor at the University of Szczecin, Chair of Administrative Law and Procedure. She obtained master’s degree and doctoral degree in Administrative Law in Poland and second master’s degree in European Law in France. She graduated also post-graduate studies in Comparative Law at Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg. She teaches subjects as European Administrative Law; Administrative Science; Administrative Law; Administrative Procedure at the Faculty of Law and Administration as well as National Defense Law and Legal Basis of Internal Security at the Faculty of National Defense and Internal Security. She also conducts lectures for Erasmus students in Public Comparative Law and Sociology of Law. She is responsible for international exchange at the Faculty of Law in Szczecin being Erasmus+ coordinator. She writes for Wolters Kluwer internet legal service for professionals - Lex.
