The course is recommended primarily for students of master's degree in law. Understanding of intellectual property law, private international law, personality law, administrative law, criminal law and contract law concepts is recommended.

Cíle předmětu
The aim of this course is to explain selected issues of private and public law regulation of new forms of entertainment, interactive entertainment and adult entertainment.
Výstupy z učení
Upon successful completion of the course the student shall be able to understand basic concepts of private and public law regulation of new forms of entertainment and analyze and solve particular problems related to the discussed issues.
Osnova
  • The course discusses three main areas of interest: online gaming, interactive entertainment industry (videogames) and adult entertainment industry. Common issues related to all of these areas are discussed in the general introduction. Structure: General part: - Introduction – regulatory specificities of new forms of online entertainment Specific part: Online gambling and gaming - Introduction to the regulatory framework and regulatory issues; Various forms and their legal aspects (casino, poker, in-game gambling, sports betting, lotteries) - Public law regulation of online gambling industry: administrative aspects and advertisement regulation, criminal aspects - Legal status of online gambling industry: comparative analysis Interactive Entertainment (Videogames) - IP protection for videogames I (direct protection – copyright law; indirect protection – trademarks, protecting gaming principles) - Legal aspects of videogames distribution (digital exhaustion) - E-sport Adult Entertainment - Personality protection and potential IP protection - Legal aspects of distribution of adult entertainment products and advertisement - Public law aspects: non-consensual sharing of subject matter and criminal content
