Cíle předmětu
At the end of the course students should be able to:
• understand and explain the typical clauses in English language contracts;
• create contractual language/draft contracts that protects your client;
• make reasoned decisions about risks associated with international transactions;
• make deductions based on acquired knowledge regarding the risk of entering into typical agreements;
• interpret typical international agreements

The course is intended to highlight the challenges of creating contracts across different legal systems. The focus will mainly be the differences that US law brings to a European trained lawyer. Starting with a boilerplate contract, we will discuss the different clauses, what they mean, how to avoid pitfalls, and how to negotiate a favorable outcome for your client.
