Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are introducing basic information about psychology, structure and dynamics of personality. Ego defense mechanisms, psychological examinations, role of medical care givers, psychological reactivity of patient. Anxiety, aggressiveness and depression management by psychological tools. It guides to insight of needs in patients, the ones, which are on the point of dying and theirs families. There are most of informatons about burn-out syndrome and its prevention and abut hurt as well.
Syllabus
  • Definition of psychology. Methods of psychological examination. Ego defense mechanisms. Personality of patient and health caregiver. Influence of medical surroundings to patient. Psychological reactivity of patient. Burn-out syndrome. Communication and kinds of diCommunication with chidren patients and its specific problems. Mistakes and faults in patient – healthcare provider communication. Giving information. Assertiveness and its use in communication in medical field. Frustration, stres, trauma, crisis, conflict. Hurt. Burnout syndrome. Realaxation and abbreaction methods.
