Course objectives
This is theoretical-practical subject, the lessons are in the classroom and then practical exercises in the field. After graduating this course student know the basic ultrasound examination, know the prenatal screening policy. The student is able to do basic gynecological and obstetric scan. After this course the student recognize the most frequent fetal pathology and genetic disorder. He is able to perform ultrasound examination of the small pelvis and basic ultrasound examination of a pregnant woman to diagnose pregnancy, position and biometry of the fetus and placenta.
Learning outcomes
After graduating this course is student able to be: perform ultrasound examination of the small pelvis and basic ultrasound examination of a pregnant woman to diagnose pregnancy, position and biometry of the fetus and placenta; to distinguish the occurrence of irregularities;

Teaching methods
Practical training in prenatal diagnostics procedures. Teaching videos and simulators are used. Active work with documentation. Teaching schedule includes practical session, teaching and learning with students clinical cases.The course is completed by a professional discussion of students with the teacher and followed by clinical practice.
