Course objectives
The Practical nursing training, it integrates knowledge of nursing theoretical and practical subjects, the basic spheres of science, social and behavioral science and communication. The subject offers cavity and fixation gained specialized nursing skills and knowledge. The subject,it contents individual practical trainig on the units (wards) of the elected health care institution, the social care institution and the other health care institutions. Aim of the subject: - the nursing profesional qualities formation
- practical training, appropriation and fixation of the special nursing process activities in the clinical nursing practice
- the application of nursing theoretical knowledge has got by studium on solving of the specific problems health care
- training in adequate communication skills
- impementation the nursing care based on nursing process
- planing, realization and evaluvation individual nursing care based on Alliance 3N ( Nursing diagnoses NANDA – I, Nursing interventions NIC, Nursing outcomes NOC )
Learning outcomes
The subject Individual nursing practical training I is focused on the implementation of the knowlege and experience of students from the teoretical tutiion into the practice under the leading of the nurses.-Students will be able to: - formulate and prove by evidence problems and demands in the area of biological, identificational, emotive, social and spiritual of the patients
- ensure patients income, translation and leaving
- students will be able on the base of their knowledge of providing patients demands to take in and pass on oral reporting while shift handver
- students will be able to actively work with nursing documentation
- Students will be able to realize actions and interventions in prevention nosocomial infections and ensure care by used tools (mechanical purgation, tools disinfection, scrubbing tools to sterilization, germ free tools manipulation)
Syllabus
  • The nurse practical training is orientated on secondary and tertiary health care. The students are intensifying ability to evaluate environment (material and personal) in which goes from individual needs. They will be educated to evaluate the personal curent condition and needs by point of view nursing care. The students are intensifying in the basic nursing skills on the standard surgical departments and intensive surgical care units. They are fixing theoretical knowledge and practical skills during the nursing individual services implementation to the clients in various medicine institutions.

Assessment methods
Exam is concluded by practical nursing care exam with pacient at the hospital. Exam is catalyzed: -verification of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the clinical setting (FN Brno, Department of Trauma Surgery C)
- 100% presence/atendance - the possibility of compensation for absence within Individual nursing practice II
- to elaborate seminary these (Henderson) formation for the use of electronic support in: http://seminarni-prace-vs.cz/ - for instruction during the opening practice
- printed seminary thesis are permanent part of The Logbook - seminary these is handed in information system to "Odevzdávárna" (necesaary consultaion with lecturer before)and lecturer have to manage control of seminaty these against plagiarism with negative outcome (must inform student about outocome)
The student is obligated to make himself/herself ready for practical training by both ways – theoretically and practically after lector advices.
