Course objectives
Nursing in Otorhinolaryngology - Practical training is a practical subject that integrates knowledge from the theory and practice of nursing, basic science disciplines, natural, social and behavioral sciences. The subject follows up on the previous nursing practice and provides for consolidation and deepening of nursing knowledge and skills. The content of the subject is a separate practical activity in the form of clinical internships at the otorhinolaryngological workplaces. The goal of clinical internships is the ability to apply the nursing process to patients with otorhinolaryngological disease.
Student will be able to: define the specifics of the nursing process at the ORL department, identify the needs of the patients, formulate the nursing problems of the patients, and formulate nursing diagnoses, establish nursing care plan, assess the effectiveness of nursing care and nursing interventions, evaluate the nursing care plan, use nursing and health care documentation and recording changes in the status of patients according to the competencies of the studentscompetencies of the students.

to understand basic diagnoses in otorhinolaryngology and their clinical manifestations
to identify the patient's needs in otorhinolaryngological diseases

Course objectives
Nursing in Otorhinolaryngology - Practical training is a practical subject that integrates knowledge from the theory and practice of nursing, basic science disciplines, natural, social and behavioral sciences. The subject follows up on the previous nursing practice and provides for consolidation and deepening of nursing knowledge and skills. The content of the subject is a separate practical activity in the form of clinical internships at the otorhinolaryngological workplaces. The goal of clinical internships is the ability to apply the nursing process to patients with otorhinolaryngological disease.
Student will be able to: define the specifics of the nursing process at the ORL department, identify the needs of the patients, formulate the nursing problems of the patients, and formulate nursing diagnoses, establish nursing care plan, assess the effectiveness of nursing care and nursing interventions, evaluate the nursing care plan, use nursing and health care documentation and recording changes in the status of patients according to the competencies of the studentscompetencies of the students.

Course objectives
The aim of exercise is to provide basic orientation of the specifics of nursing care for sick head and neck and their prevention. To understand the psychosocial problems of disabled patients / clients (continued the hearing, the state after partial and total laryngektomii). In patients with the disease develop a successful plan for individual nursing care and to justify the planned nursing intervention.
Syllabus
  • Nursing process in inflammatory diseases upper respiratory tract and swallowing (sinusitis, epiglotidída, laryngitis, pharyngitída).
  • Nursing process in patients with cancer and sustained media tips.
  • Nursing process for acute conditions in Otorhinolaryngologie (sufokace, bleeding, sudden hearing disorders).
