Course objectives
Students are acquainted with many problems in health circumstances. A lot of attention is concerned about communication with various patients, strategies in communicative abilities, especially in problem patients. Personality, personality os nurses and doctors. Burnout syndrome. Pain. Death and dying.
Learning outcomes
- Student understand why psychology is important in medicine and distinguishes different approaches to disease and health
The student understands relationships in healthy circumstances. Learn basic abilities in communication with various patients and problem patients as well. Understand problems of personality. Understand problem of burnout syndrome, pain, deth and dying.
Syllabus
  • -Healthy circumstances and its parts. Communication - theory, communication with adult and children patients, communicate of negative and extreme negative pieces of information. Asertivity. Nurses personality, their positive and negative influences on patients. Doctors personality, a relationship between doctor and patient. Problematic patients. Burnout syndrome, pain, death and dying.
