The subject Nursing I is one of the cornerstones of teaching, the content form the basis of the philosophy of nursing, value systém, Scope of investigation, teory models, the basic standard of the terminology, the basic conceptual nursing models and their application in the nursing process at the clinical practice, the basic principles of research in nursing; and ensuring evaluation of the quality of nursing care, History and present day in Nursing, celebrity in Nursing, character and professional roles nurses, Concepcion health and diseases.

Course objectives
The subject Nursing I is one of the cornerstones of teaching, the content form the basis of the philosophy of nursing. The aim of the course is to acquainted the students with sub-attributes the problems of nursing. At the end of this course, student will be able to: - know the historical and currently development of nursing; - know the concept of nursing in the Czech Republic and in the world; - use the basic terminology of nursing; - identify and characterize the different stages of nursing process, on the basis of the knowledge and they will be able to create a process in the nursing care of individual patients/clients and their particular needs; - charakterize the basic conceptual nursing models and their application in the nursing process at the clinical practice; - to know the development of education of nurses - know the basic principles of research in nursing; and ensuring evaluation of the quality of nursing care; - to orientate in the area of multicultural services.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - identify and summarize the basic concepts of nursing - summarize the basic philosophy of nursing - describe the concept of nursing - identify and describe current trends in nursing - write a case study focused on theoretical models - identify specific aspects of care in multicultural/ transcultural nursing - implement the nursing process in patients with psychosocial needs, with sensory perception disorder and provide care for dying - identify and saturate spiritual needs - explain the standards in nursing - to identify the basic premises of research in nursing
