Course objectives
After this course of lectures student will be able to define a term pleoptics, orthoptics and single binocular vision. Student will have a theoretical and practical knowledge of pleoptic and orthoptic procedures suitable for particular types of binocular vision defects in children and adults. Student will be able to perform basic differential diagnosis, he/she will be able to plan pleoptic and orthoptic treatment programme in terms of the therapeutic methods selection and the time schedule, he or she will have the knowledge required for setting control parameters for monitoring the effectiveness of therapy and for stating the prognosis. Student will have a basic knowledge of how his or her treatment plan communicate with cooperating strabologist and parents, resp. with the patient.
Learning outcomes
