Teaching methods
In practicals, the topics stated in the syllabus are introduced to the students by the pharmacology teacher in the form of a presentation. Various practical activities are planned for the students and will be obligatory to achieve credits. These practical activities will use available information technology and will focus on e.g., case reports form the real clinical practice, independent market surveys, or use of medical database PubMed. Degustation of herbal infusions is planned to enliven the end of the semester.
Presentations or materials will be provided through IS by the teacher. These materials are to be completed by the student from the teacher's explanation, student's work in practicals, or from self-study from the literature. The presentations or other materials without additional notes may not be insufficient to obtain credits.
Assessment methods
Students have to pass the final written multiple-choice test, in which students are asked to answer to questions with only 1 correct answer. The test contains 20 questions. One point is granted for each correctly answered question. No points are subtracted for unanswered question, or wrong answer. The summary of the score obtained is evaluated. A criterion for receiving credits is the summary score higher or equal to the 60% of the maximum score obtained (i.e., 12 point of 20).
