Course objectives
Emergency medicine for medical rescuers is a profiling theoretical and practical subject. Its aim is to prepare students both theoretically and practically for the profession of medical rescuer, member of the emergency rescue service team or hospital urgent hospital team.
Learning outcomes
Student: has an overview of the history and development of the medical rescue service and the field of Urgent Medicine and Disaster Medicine in our countries and around the world;
knows the status and role of medical rescue services in the rescue system;
can describe organizational provision of pre-hospital emergency care by outbound groups, with the use of land and air means;
describe the development of early hospital emergency care, the role of urgent income in the Czech Republic; compares the organizational diagrams of various systems to ensure pre-hospital emergency care in the US and around the world.
It has a basic overview of the care provided by field health care teams and on-going care at hospital inputs, emergency departments, individual care.
Syllabus
  • The history and development of the emergency medical services field and Emergency and Disaster Medicine in our country and the world;
  • status and tasks of emergency medical services in emergency system;
  • organization of the provision of pre-hospital emergency care the exit groups with ground and air resources;
  • development of early prehospital phase, the role of emergency income;
  • comparison of different organizational schemes of pre-hospital care in the Czech Republic and the world;
  • first contact with the patient;
  • basic and advanced ways to ensure basic vital functions;

    differential diagnosis balance sheet on the basis of primary and secondary screening;

  • ensure patient and dedicated transport by the working diagnosis.
