Course objectives
Prepare a general nurse to provide highly specialized nursing care in selected clinical disciplines and at the same time for the use of available technical equipment, aids and pharmacological preparations in intensive medicine. The purpose of the exercise is to acquire skills in the field of highly specialised activities in Nursing anesthesia departments. The practice will be performed in anesthesia departments.
Learning outcomes
Students will: - To provide highly specialised nursing care to patients during the preparation, the course and immediately after completion of all methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia; Carry out monitoring and monitoring of physiological functions, evaluation of the condition in terms of various complications and sudden events and take part in their solutions, participate in the management of general and local anesthesia; Prepare instruments, aids and medicinal products for individual methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia, to maintain documentation in connection with anaesthesia performance, to monitor and evaluate physiological functions, to participate in solving complications including. providing extended resuscitation. · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severe neurological health impairment, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severely impaired respiratory system, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severe cardiovascular disease, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severe affection of the uropoetic system, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with acute complications of diabetes mellitus and endocrine system, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severe haematological disease, · Able to recognize disorders of metabolism and the internal environment, including complications and to participate in their solution, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severely impaired GIT, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severe chest disorder and chest cavity, · Be able to recognize basic cardiac rhythm disturbances in the ECG record, · Know the basics of highly specialized nursing care for patients with severe with health problems in gynecology and obstetrics and is involved in its provision, · Be able to explain the principles and provide highly specialized nursing care patients with severe infectious disease, · Orientation in pharmacological agents used in intensive care, knows their indications and effects.
Syllabus
  • Students acquire skills: - Preparation of sterile table for aseptic performance 5x -preoperative preparation of the patient 3x -Preparation of instrumentation for general anaesthesia 3x -Preparation and assistance for general anaesthesia 3x-- Preparation and assistance for regional anaesthesia 3x -Preparation of Farmak for general anaesthesia 3x -Patient care when using pain treatment methods 2x · Catheterization of the bladder man, · To recognize basic cardiac rhythm disturbances in the ECG record, · The issue of comprehensive highly specialized nursing care for patients requiring UPV including risks, complications related to them and involved in their solution, · Communication with the patient on the UPV, · Monitor the functionality of special instrumentation techniques to conduct and deliver the UPV constant readiness, · Provide comprehensive highly specialized nursing care for the patient with a disorder of consciousness, · Specify individual types of nutrition, apply them critically ill, recognize them complications and participate in their solution, · Apply psychological aspects of nursing care in intensive care, · Communicate with patients in critical condition and their closest ones, · Apply psychological approach and communication techniques in interpersonal relationships, possibilities of caring for their mental health. Students participate: · The correct application of pharmacological agents used in intensive medicine and the recognition of side effects. Performance and frequency (minimum): · Catheterization of the bladder man can be 5 times · Preparation of the fan to perform UPV 5x · Connecting the patient to the fan 5 times · Connection of the patient to noninvasive artificial pulmonary ventilation 2x · Dust extraction by closed suction system 5x · Exhaustion from the airways through the open exhaust system 5x · Changing the position of the endotracheal cannula 5x · Monitoring and analysis of ventilation parameters 5x 101 · Blood collection for blood gases and acid-base balance in conjunction with UPV and analysis of the results 5x · Evaluation of patient status when disconnecting from the fan 3x · The correct procedure for disconnecting the patient from the fan 3x · Extubation of the patient 2x · Comprehensive highly specialized nursing care for a patient with a disorder consciousness 5x · Nutrition assessment based on laboratory examinations 5x · Evaluation of consciousness using evaluation methodologies 5x · Assessing the depth of analgosedation using assessment methodologies 5x · ECG curve analysis 5x
