Course objectives
At the end of these lectures collection a student will be able to understand instruments in optometric workroom and to explain measurement process. The student can give elaborate arguments and methodic about refractive errors and disorders. On the base of acquired knowledge about particular instruments the student can explain types and principles of examination methods and technique documentation.

  • History of the ophthalmology, optometry and contactology. Their definition and position in the world.
  • Anatomy of the eye, optical characteristics of the eye, adaptation, colour sense, binocular vision, physiology of vision, ophthalmologic examination methods.
