Course objectives
At the end of this exercise a student will be able to prove and justify measurements on optometrist instruments in optometric workroom with relation of theoretical lectures.
Syllabus
  • History of the ophthalmology, optometry and contactology. Their definition and position in the world. Anatomy of the eye, optical characteristics of the eye, adaptation, colour sense, binocular vision, physiology of vision, ophthalmologic examination methods. Errors of the optical system of the eye Ammetropy Refractometry, examination methods Refractometers and keratometers Cycloplegic examination Subjective examination methods Spectacle correction of refractive errors Spectacle optics Types of spectacle lenses News in spectacle technology
