Course objectives
The goal is to introduce the problematique of some advanced surgical suturing techniques. This course is a follow up to the course of fundamentals of surgical suturing.
Learning outcomes
After attending the workshop student is able to handle some advanced techniques of surgical suturing – simple running suture, running locked suture, Donati suture, Allgöwer suture, simple intradermal suture and double-handed double knot.
Syllabus
  • At the beginning students revise the programme of the basic course – especially the technique of handling the surgical instruments used for suturing, maneuvers. After that the practising of the sutures on models is performed according to the programme.
