The course is intended for students of general medicine, dentistry and students of Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Sport Studies. The course is suitable for all students with an increased interest in the locomotor system.

Course objectives
The content of the course is practical teaching of bones, joints, muscular system, vascular supply, innervation and regional anatomy of the limbs and back. Teaching will take place at the dissection room using cadaveric material.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to name the anatomical structures of the passive and active locomotor system. Can explain the importance of attachment structures on bones, mechanics, movements in joints and the function of muscle groups. Furthermore, he should be able to assess the normal state of the musculoskeletal system as opposed to the pathological state.

  • 1. Skeleton of the spine and thorax 2. Skeleton of the upper extremity. 3. Skeleton of the lower extremity. 4. Bones of the skull. Cavities of the skull. 5. Joints and muscles of the head, thorax and spine. Spinal nerve, cervical plexus, intercostal nerves. 6. Muscles of the abdomen and back, inguinal canal. 7. Joints of the upper extremity. 8. Muscles of the upper extremity. 9. Brachial plexus. Vessels of the upper extremity. 10. Joints of the lower extremity. 11. Muscles of the lower extremity. 12. Lumbar and sacral plexus.
