- Cíle předmětu
- This course is a continuation of VMKA from the previous semester which was devoted to an overview of cultural differences, their manifestations and consequences. In this, the second half of the course, the focus is on concrete aspects of culture, specific cultural comparisons and how to introduce these concepts into real-life classrooms. Each student will make a presentation modeling the methodology of dealing with culture in his/her own classroom situation - which will then be uploaded onto the class forum for all to use.
The aim of this course is: to provide (future and current) teachers of English with the awareness of culture and cultural differences necessary for effective language teaching in the 21st century; to support them in designing and developing culturally relevant lesson plans for their own classrooms; and to provide each individual the material, supervision and support to integrate culture into their English language teaching. - Výstupy z učení
- By the end of the course the students will have had a chance to improve their teaching skills in teaching a session on culture to their fellow students and they will also have the chance to develop their peer-assessment skills.

- This course is a continuation of VMKA from the previous semester which was devoted to an overview of cultural differences, their manifestations and consequences. In this, the second half of the course, the focus is on concrete aspects of culture, specific cultural comparisons and how to introduce these concepts into real-life classrooms. Each student will make a presentation modeling the methodology of dealing with culture in his/her own classroom situation - which will then be uploaded onto the class forum for all to use.
The aim of this course is: to provide (future and current) teachers of English with the awareness of culture and cultural differences necessary for effective language teaching in the 21st century; and to provide each individual the material, supervision and support to make culture an important part of their English language teaching. - Osnova
