Course objectives
This class meets weekly. Each session will include a warm-up exercise, review of a workbook lesson, and group activities. Students will be assigned writing activities throughout the semester. COURSE OBJECTIVES 1. To improve students expression and understanding in English. 2. To expand students English language use within a cultural context 3. To provide students with opportunities to practice teaching language concepts 4. To allow students to use English communication in one-to-one, small group and whole class situations.
Learning outcomes
After the successful passing of the course students will:
- acquire the necessary vocabulary to describe various aspects of everyday life as well as more academic sphere;
- learn to work with specific vocabulary;
- learn to work with specific cultural materials;
- improve their understanding, pronunciation and fluency of speech;
- acquire new methods of teaching languages by using them as students;
- distinguish between and adopt specific accent;
- understand different accents;
- lead an effective conversation;
- use various literary and other cultural material to improve as well as teach language;

Teaching methods
This class uses a variety of methods including learning centres, group discussions, presentations, projects and Moodlinka work.
Assessment methods
Students must acquire a minimum of 70 points from quizzes, forums, class participation, group facilitation and the final credit test.
