This course aims at students of the English department of Faculty of Education with or without teaching practice experience who have attended VideoWeb course.

Course objectives
In this course, students will further improve their ability to observe classroom situations, analyze them, evaluate them and suggest alternative courses of action. This should help them in their (future) teaching practice.
Syllabus
  • 1. Analysis of selected classroom videos
  • 2. Working with the whole class (analysing and discussing videos where the whole class works together)
  • 3. Group and pair work (analysing and discussing videos where the class works in groups; focus on set up and monitoring)
  • 4. Bringing it all together - individual analysis of a lesson
  • 5. Bringing it all together 2 - group analysis of a lesson
  • 6. End-of-course wrap-up and analysis of selected classroom videos

Teaching methods
Regular online work in moodlinka, two face-to-face sessions (block option).
Assessment methods
Attendance at the two face-to-face sessions (compulsory). Completion of all modules in moodlinka (one module per two weeks - compulsory).
