Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be alble to:
summarize the determinants of selected woody plants
recognize selected woody plants based on foliage, buds, cones / fruits and seeds
determine woody plant with the use of a determination key
by selected taxa to determine whether it is a native or non-native taxon
decide whether woody plant is among the specially protected species
observate the selected woody plant in long-term
itnterpret the results of long-term observation of the woody plant

Form of teaching: mass - frontal; mass - stand-alone work; Group-homogeneous, group-heterogeneous. Teaching methods: lecture, explanation, work with literature, assignment key, observation.
Assessment methods
Assessment methods: Seminar work, Practical exam (cognition of trees)
Fulfilling reqirements: - attendance at exercises: at least 80% (ie 10 exercises) - seminar work: the student observes the selected woody plant for 3 months and presents the results of his observation based on his own photographic documentation in written form - practical exam: identifying of woody taxa presented at exercises; It is necessary to identify at least 8 out of 12 items submitted (the total pens of woody plants presented at excercices is 108)
