Course objectives
- explain the function and importance of scientific herbarium
- correctly name the vegetative and generative forms of our plants and exotic plants
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- describe woody plants and herbs
- correctly name the vegetative and generative forms of our plants and exotic plants
Syllabus
  • The course is designed partly as an excursion, partly as an independent work:
  • 1) the student completes a dendrological walk in Lužánecký park (if the situation allows, the date has not been determined yet, it will be announced in advance, there is a possibility of a substitute task)
  • 2. the student develops a identification key for determining 10 basic trees according to their leaf, the key is supplemented by a miniature in electronic form
  • 3. the student makes a miniature of 10 herbs - exploring herbs in one particular habitat, the student chooses the habitat from the following: meadow, forest, coastal zone of running or standing water, built-up part of the village, field edge
  • 4. if the epidemiological situation allows, the student will participate in at least one of the planned excursions - Herbarium in the Ministry of Health or greenhouses of the Botanical Garden or the school garden Kejbaly

Assessment methods
Due to the epidemiological situation we set the conditions for successful completion of the course Excursion from general botany as follows (unfortunately, the usual excursions are not possible yet): The first student takes a dendrological walk in Lužánecký park (if that The situation allows, the date has not yet been determined, it will be announced in advance, it exists possibility of an alternative task) 2. The student develops a identification key to determine 10 basic trees according to their sheet, the key shall be supplemented by a miniature in electronic form 3. the student makes a miniature of 10 herbs - learning about herbs on one specific one habitat, the student will choose the habitat from the following: meadow, forest, coastal zone running or stagnant water, built-up area of ​​the village, field edge 4. if the epidemiological situation allows, the student will participate at least one of the planned excursions - Herbarium in MZM or the greenhouses of the Botanical Garden or the school garden Kejbaly All tasks will be further specified and the deadline for their submission / execution will be set
