Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
1. understand to detailed plant anatomy and morphology;
2. define structure of plant cell and plant tissue;
3. name structure of root, stalk, leaf, flower, seed and fruit;
4. explain interrelationship between these organisms;
5. to work with study literature.
Syllabus
  • 1. Structure of plant cell, nucleus.
  • 2. Plant tissue. Premanent tissue. Conducting tissue, xylem, phloem.Functions of plant tissue.
  • 3. Anatomy and morphology of root. Phylogeny, ontogeny. Metamorphoses. Economic importance.
  • 4. Anatomy of stalk. Phylogeny, ontogeny. Branching, buds. Metamorphoses
  • 5. Anatomy and morphology of leaf. Phylogeny, ontogeny. Metamorphoses
  • 6. Anatomy and morphology of monocotyledonous plant x dicotyledonous plant.
  • 7. Structure of flower. Inflorescence.
  • 8. Structure and morphology of fruit and seed. Classification of friuts. Germination of seeds.
  • 9. Reproduction of plants.
