Course objectives
At the end of this field practices, students should be able to: (1.) identify basic types of central-european habitats and (2.) some types of south-european ones; (3.) explain relation between ecological factors and biodiversity of selected habitats; (4.) confirm in their abilities of collecting, fixing, preparation, identifying and demonstrating of organisms and other products of nature; (5.) should be able to apply acquired knowledge into their future teachers practice.
Syllabus
  • Alpine nature (Julian Alps, Kamnik Alps, Western Karavanks) - botany, ecology, geology, geomorphology, zoology.
  • Classic karst (caves, polje and lakes, museums, protected territory) - botany, ecology, geology, geomorphology, zoology.
  • Coastal nature and surroundings of the Adriatic sea - botany, ecology, geology, geomorphology, zoology.
