Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
Suggest crop rotation plan of the combined patch feasible to 2st grade elementary school pupils
Implement and organize the care of a combined patch with the 2st grade elementary school pupils.
Recognize a user sort of vegetables, fruit and field crops.
Identifying and treating selected houseplants during the Spring and Summer months.
Performe phenological observations during the Spring and Summer months.
Recognize a user sort of medicinal and weeds.
Syllabus
  • 1st Phenological observations during the Spring and Summer months.
  • 2nd Vegetables - cognition, classification, requirements for cultivation.
  • 3rd Practical skills - sowing, preparing beds.
  • 4th Practical skills - pre-grow, pointing.
  • 5th Spring flowerbed finish , planting and sowing into loose soil. (Spring ornamental plants, plant morphology.)
  • 6th Practical Skills - Spring flower bed treatment and preparation, sowing and planting into loose soil.
  • 7th Fruits and fruit trees - cognition, sorting, demands for care.
  • 8th Field crops - cognition, classification, requirements for cultivation.
  • 9th Medicinal plants, herbs, spices - cognition, classification, requirements for cultivation.
  • 10th weeds - recognizing, sorting, growing demands.
  • 11th Practical skills - care combined flowerbed - sowing and planting into loose soil.
  • 12th Practical skills - care combined flowerbed - sowing and planting into loose soil.
  • 13th Practical skills - care combined flowerbed - sowing and planting into loose soil.
  • 14th Work with children 2nd grade elementary school at the Faculty garden.
