Course objectives
The aim of the course is to work out bachelor thesis on the selected Czech language theme focused on phonetics, morphology, lexicology, syntax, or stylistics. Examples: Selected linguistic phenomena in the texts from different stylistic levels; spoken utterances in the selected region; linguistic means in the texts for juvenilia; developmental tendencies of the selected phenomena of the contemporary standard Czech language.
That is pressupposed after finishing the course students are able:
– to compile the bibliography - list of literature and resources of information;
– to create project of bachelor thesis.
Syllabus
  • 1. Project Structure
  • a) Theme selection; the research project; the set aim/s of the paper
  • b) Methodological procedure:
  • - formulating a hypothesis or a certain presumption;
  • - setting a research project;
  • - methods used in the research
  • - setting a sample (purpose / non-purpose built) for the research.
  • c) Interpretation of the results.
  • 2. General working schedule; organization of work
  • 3. Reference books on the selected topic.

Assessment methods
Seminary Course, individual tuition. Ending: Credit. Credit requirements: the student can get the credit after the submission of the bachelor thesis project to the head of the project and then after the approval, he/she can store it in the MUNI Information System.
