Course objectives
The students recognise structural and non-structural Czech language formations, causes for their forming and the fundamental methods of the dialects treating.
Syllabus
  • Structural and non-structural Czech language formations. Dialects; terminology of dialects; special linguistic literature. Causes for geographical and social diferentiation of Czech language into dialects. The boundary (isogloses) of the dialects. Methods of treating dialects, mainly dictionary and atlas. The purposes of the dialectology; dialectology and Czech language teaching.
