Course objectives
The subjekt performs important task in the area of studentś awareness and orientation while searching, studying and elaborationg the information from literature and documents, including formulation of the most important methods, procedures and instruments while studying and reseaching, i. e. the historianś profession itself. It brings the students not only in the study of history, but also in university study.
Learning outcomes
The student is oriented in the search, study and processing of knowledge from literature and sources, including the identification of the most important methods, methods and means of study and research, ie his own historical craft.
Syllabus
  • Theoretical foundations (subject, tasks of history, development of opinions on history, philosophy of Czech history). Organization of historical work (universities, institutes, historical societies, dictionaries, bibliographies, magazines, archives and museums, libraries, monument care). Theory and Practice in Historical Work. Stages of scientific historical work. Methods, publication of the results of the work.
