Course objectives

At the end of the course students should be able to:work with information on the history of historiografy from its beginnings in antique Greece and Rome till the Elightenment. It put historiography into wider political, cultural and epistemological contexts.

• 1. The beginnings od history writing in antique Greece and Rome 2. Early medieval historiography 3. Medieval historiography 4. Italian Renaissance 5. Historiography in the 17th and 18th centuries, Baroque historiography 5. Enlightenment
