Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to: understand and explain the causes, course and impact of amnesty and specific examples show the progression of the rehabilitation process in Czechoslovakia.
Syllabus
  • Basic concepts.
  • Putting the issue of what was then the domestic and international political context.
  • Preparation, implementation and evaluation of amnesty by President between 1960 and 1962.
  • Attempts to judicial rehabilitation before the 1968th
  • Preparation and implementation of the Rehabilitation Act of 1968.
  • Selected court cases.
  • Final thought.
