Course objectives
Annotation: Didactics of vocational subjects builds on the knowledge and skills gained by studying Introduction to didactics. Attention is paid to other selected key areas of didactics: teaching methods, organizational forms of teaching, teaching material resources, pupil assessment, design and preparation of teaching vocational subjects. The course is focused on acquiring additional knowledge and skills in the application of general didactic experience in teaching vocational subjects. Objective: At the end of the course students will be able to characterize the didactics of vocational subjects in secondary schools, establish objectives and content of teaching vocational subjects. Further define the teaching principles in teaching vocational subjects, to define teaching methods, forms and material resources in teaching vocational subjects, develop evaluation tools in teaching vocational subjects. Prepare, implement and evaluate observation in teaching vocational subject. Develop a project of teaching vocational subject and processed according to the needs of various written preparation for teaching
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to characterize didactics of vocational subjects at secondary schools, to set goals and the content of teaching vocational subjects. Further define the teaching principles in the teaching of vocational subjects, define the teaching methods, forms and material resources in the teaching of vocational subjects, to create evaluation tools in the teaching of vocational subjects of subjects. Prepare, implement and evaluate hospitality in teaching a subject. Develop a project for the teaching of a subject and prepare various written preparation for teaching as required.
Syllabus
  • Block 1: Introduction to the process of teaching vocational subjects, types and phases of the teaching process, motivation of pupils.The quality of teaching vocational subjects. Block 2: Assessment of pupils in vocational subjects, educational tests, final exams and graduation. Organizational forms in teaching vocational subjects, the use of walks, excursions, traineeships and internships in teaching vocational subjects. Teaching aids and teaching techniques in teaching vocational subjects. Block 3: Personality of teachers of vocational subjects. Inspection in teaching vocational subjects. Block 4: Planning and preparation of teaching vocational subjects. Perspective (long-term) and current (short-term) preparation. Inter-subject relations in teaching vocational subjects. Retraining, vocational qualifications, further education in vocational education. Implementation of teaching vocational subjects, teaching management, teaching conditions.
