Course objectives
This course follows Practical Language 1. In this course, other selected phenomena of French Grammar are practiced and worked with their application in various types of texts, authentic materials, related to the specialization of the field. Students deepen B1 level communication skills according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and have the opportunity to practice various morphological phenomena and to expand vocabulary. Individual language skills (interaction, listening, reading, writing, speaking) and linguistic competencies (grammar, vocabulary) are practiced too. The aim of the course is to deepen students' communication skills. Students will consolidate acquired communicative competences (linguistic, sociolinguistic and pragmatic) and develop them. The subject responds to news from a given language area. Emphasis is placed primarily on the explanation and practice of the included grammatical phenomena and irregular verbs.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems; analyze the grammatical structures; interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity; take an active part in discussion in familiar contexts; write an essay or report, pass information.
