Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able: to explicate the political and cultural development from Napoleon wars until now; to apply the acquiered knowledges and skills at school.
Syllabus
  • 1. Napoleon period. 2. Period of Bourbone Restoration. 3. July 1830 revolution. 4. July monarchy and 1948 revolution. 5. The second Republic and the second Empire, Commune. 6. The third Republic. 7. WW I and Versailles peace. Period between the wars. 8. WW II period. 9. The fourth and the fifth Republics. 10. France after de Gaulle until now.

Seminary, discussion, presentation.
Assessment methods
Workshop Ending: colloquium. Requirements for ending: meet the workshop requirements and the active participation (70%). Test (as a successful test is considered one with at least 70 % right answers).
