Course objectives
The goal of the subject are exercises in spoken language understanding and systematic training of French spelling in dictations with following correction of mistakes. At the end of this course, students should be able to apply the acquired knowledge in composing written reports for seminars and in BA theses.
Syllabus
  • Spelling. Typology of mistakes: phonological, lexical, morphological. Homophones. Segmental utterances. Punctuation. Dictation samples from literature, technical texts, newspaper news. Correction and analysis of the mistakes.
