Course objectives
The goal of the subject is a revision and deepening the acquired knowledge and skills in practical language exercises and application linguistic knowledge (lexical and grammatical structures) – preparation for the diploma and final (exam) work. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand extended speech and long and complex factual and literary texts; understand specialised articles and longer technical instructions; express themselves fluently and spontaneously, and formulate ideas and opinions; express themselves in clear, well-structured written text, expressing points of view at some length.
Syllabus
  • 1. Comprehensive language exercises (articles, substantives, adjectives, comparison, verbal mood, past tenses, modal verbs, word order, clauses, sentences). 2. Translation procedures. 3. Translation exercises. 4. Coherent texts translations. Work with magazine texts (Le Point, L’ Express …) 5. Elaboration of current daily press information by means of Internet.

Workshop Ending: examination. Requirements for ending: meet the workshop requirements and the active participation (70%). Writen examination.
