Course objectives
A cross-section through the history of the favourite literary genre. Students are acquainted with the predecessors of the genre, classical and temporary leading authors and with detective stories for children and youth. Besides text analysis, emphasis is given at methodological possibilities offered by detective stories. The output will be a methodologically focused seminar work coming from the reading of recommended authors.
