Course objectives
The aim of the optional lectures is to give students the opportunity to have an overview of the problems of material science and methods of research. If the situation allow, recite here may also prominent experts from the Czech Republic, possibly from abroad.
Syllabus
  • Traditional methods of research the properties of solids. Modern methods of research the properties of solids. Advanced materials. Nobel Prize in the field of solids.

Assessment methods
Lecture, with the possibility of discussion. Conditions for obtaining credit: 1.Treatment of a selected issue in the field of solids and its presentation in a team of students. 2.Colloquium of two to three students in the selected issue.
