Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to motivate the students to their vocational socialization. The course provides the students with an opportunity to gain an insight into their own interaction skills, supports their personal and social development and creativity. Specific objectives arise from the content of the courses „Drama education“ and „Social psychology“. The seminar is realized as a reflective practising of the student´s basic psychosocial skills with an accent on self-knowledge and cultivation of the above mentioned skills. The practice takes place in the school environment and concentrates on the observation of the educational reality as a basis of student´s professional vision, thinking, reflection and self-reflection.The practice follows the empirical orientation in contemporary primary school. The practice takes place at the affiliated primary schools. It is followed by a reflective consultation under the supervision of university teachers (educators and psychologists). The students should recognise their strengts and learn how to develop them. They reflect their practice experience and realize a short teaching lesson in which they use methods and techniques from Drama education. Students reflect their teaching unit according to the given rules, they get familiar with the dynamics of their behaving, perceiving and self-understanding. The aim of the course is to provide the students with the opportunity to realize their own teaching lesson, prepared and approved within the course „Drama education“ which is based on the work with literary model, activation methods and reflection. The students will also apply selected research methods in the classroom which should support their professional erudition and diagnostic competence. The course helps to develop the skills of effective communication and sensitivity, as well as the knowledge of own personality strenghts. Students should also gain the ability to reflect the educational reality together with the ability of self-reflection.
