Course objectives
Students are able to use writing and printing Cyrillic form, read the text with comprehension, communicate in basic-life situations. Students know the basic vocabulary and the basic rules of Russian orthography and grammar.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the semester, the student is able to communicate in basic life situations, to participate in the dialogues on simple topics, he knows the basic vocabulary and understands the basic phenomena of Russian grammar.
Syllabus
  • 1. Declination of noun неделя, declination of personal pronouns, verb - увлекаться чем - interested in something.
  • 2. Future time of verbs, differences between сейчас, теперь (now / now), verb успеть.
  • 3. Declination of masculine and neuter nouns, verb in the past tense, reflecting the need (нужно, надо, придётся).
  • 4. Adjectives. Season and months.
  • 5. Conjugation of verbs - II. type. Conjugation of the verb хотеть, construction Можно? - Нельзя.
  • 6. The basic numbers from 30 to 1000, the age statement,У меня есть in the past and in the future tense and negation.
  • 7. Motion verbs and their prefixes, use "there" in Russian.
  • 8. Basic numerals 2000 to billion. Question.
  • 9. Conjugation of verbs мочь, помочь; Changing the stem consonant in declension of nouns.
  • 10. Talking on the phone.
  • 11. "False friends"
  • 12. Revision lesson.

Teaching methods
Students work with-electronic materials and use electronic support study, fulfil homework.
Assessment methods
Written test on 70% and interview with teacher on studied themes. Students also prepare a glossary of expanding vocabulary (50 new words).
